I was interested to hear what people had to say on the assembly. When Mr. Jones came to the athletic leadership council I thought it was an excellent idea to have someone come into the school but I was nervous on how beneficial his message would be considering I've never heard him speak before. I noticed several people did not take it seriously and I understand that he did some things that made it difficult to find the message important. I personally think he had difficulty speaking in front of a school of kids because he seemed nervous and did have unnecessary comments to the teachers which was unprofessional. I however do hope that he continues to try reaching out to students and I wish more people shared the same thoughts as he does when it comes to helping kids. I think with proper feedback and more experience at other schools he could become more effective but I commend him for what he does.

I was glad we talked about the assembly in class today because, obviously, I felt strongly about it. The Taming of the Shrew is just as fun as it's always been - the people in our class are really good at reading lines and making them interesting! It's actually fun to listen to, much more fun than when we read Macbeth or Romeo and Juliet.
Well said Alexa. I was thinking of writing to him to suggest ways he could be more effective. We appreciate what the leadership council is trying to do.
I have to say that I am incredibly nervous about the mid-year exam. I have seven exams which makes it even worse! I am glad that we went over what will be on our exam in English. It is the only class that has truly gone over everything that is going to be on it. I am less nervous than I was before, but still it is my first exam.

I love Taming of the Shrew, reading it makes me feel jolly.
It was interesting listening to other people's opinions of the assembly. Personally, I didn't like the speaker, so it was interesting to hear the opinions of those who did, and I was slightly surprised at the number of those who didn't- but not displeased, since it made me feel a little less guilty about not liking the guy. Taming of the Shrew is a laugh as always.
