I found going over the mid-year exam helpful to me because this will be my first mid-year exam. I did not know what to expect since each class is different. Once I found out what it was on I felt less nervous. I was glad our poems were going to be on it because I memorized mine.

I enjoyed it when we talked about the symbolism and importance of Catcher in the Rye. I enjoyed reading the book Sophomore year and having a chance to look back and think about the book was interesting. I felt that the books moral of letting people grow up and experience things makes the book worth reading, even though many people do not approve of the language used in the story.

I think that our discussion in class today about the books was productive. It was interesting to get some input from other people who read the same novel as I did. "East of Eden" was an incredible novel to read, so I think that it was good to hear what other people though of this book that I enjoyed so much.
