In order to get full credit for the blog, you must use correct spelling, punctuation and capitalization. You must discuss any aspect of learning in the classroom. The purpose of this is to think about your learning. It is not to discuss your grades or give a thumbs up or down to what was done in class. Do not restate what was done in class. Fully developed thoughts are expected. You may state if something helped or did not help your learning but you must tell why.

Credit cards only cause an issue if you do not pay off the balance every month. Do not buy anything with a credit card that you do not have enough money to buy. Credit cards should be used as a convenience so you don't have to carry cash.

Today in class I enjoyed the exercise you had us do on pseudonyms. It was a interesting activity and it also provided us with the definition and an example of what it was. In the future we should do more activities like that because it gets everyone involved and they're still having a good time and learning. The words that you picked out this week for vocab are good. I liked them because they are everyday words, but no one in our class knows the meaning of most of them, so it's helpful doing these words.

I found today’s class to be helpful in understanding the meanings to some of the new vocabulary like pseudonym. The activity we did will help me remember the definition on Friday. Also going over the rubric for the project was helpful because I was a little confused, but after we went over it I understood the project.

I don't care much for Taming of the Shrew. The humor is outdated and the language is archaic. I have never enjoyed Shakespeare much. I like what I'm reading on my own, though. It took me a little to get into my book, but now that the story has actually began, it has picked up. The journals are a bit of a hassle, but then again, this is school.

I like the book I read The Ghost of the Spirit Bear. I read in about three days total. Now I am reading Maximum Ride:The Angel Experiment by James Patterson It is a really good book I read the comic ones.

Yesterday in class, I enjoyed coming up with the pseudonyms. It was difficult to find out what fake name went to each student. I had a difficult time also, trying to come up with one. Coming up with those names will help me on the test. I am excited to do the collage for my book. I think is a creative way to take what we have read and show everyone else in the class about the book.

Tuesday's class was very enjoyable, and helpful. The activity in which the whole class came up with a pseudonym helped me understand the word "pseudonym" quite well. It also showed us everyone's creative minds, and what their name would be if they were to use a fake name.

today i enjoyed the activity where we each made our own pseudonyms. It was fun because it's not something we usually do. I hope we can do more things like that!

I liked making up our pseudonyms. Not only was it a fun activity, it is going to help me remember that definition. I hope we can do things like that more often.

Between 1989 and 2006, the nation's total credit card charges increased from about $69 billion a year to more than $1.8 trillion. (Source: Demos.org, April 2008)

This is more than just people not paying off their debts. Credit card companies are tricking their less intellectual customers into a pit of endless debt. They do this by setting your monthly minimums to an amount below what can actually pay off the ridiculous interest. This is wrong, and recently Obama passed a bill (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2009/05/obama-signs-cre/) that should help stop this scamming.

RJ, no amount of legislation will keep people from their own foolishness. We live in a "right now" society. People do not believe in saving up for anything. We want it, we get it. That is why almost every kid with a driver's license at our school has a car. Some have more than one. Credit card companies can't be blamed. That's like blaming McDonald's for fat people.

The Taming of the Shrew would be more exciting of I had a bigger part, I don't understand half of what's being said I laugh anyways though. I'm really starting to get into 1984 it's definitely interesting.
